We are looking for an experienced ELAN Programming Technician to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who understands smart home technology, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in delivering a clean, reliable experience for clients.
The right candidate will have hands-on experience programming and troubleshooting ELAN control systems, along with a strong understanding of residential and light commercial low-voltage systems including audio/video, networking, security, surveillance, lighting control, and smart home integration.
This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can step into projects confidently, work independently when needed, and communicate professionally with both clients and team members.
Responsibilities
- Program, configure, and troubleshoot ELAN control systems
- Integrate audio/video, networking, security, lighting, and automation systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues in the field and remotely
- Work alongside installation technicians to ensure systems are operating properly
- Configure smart home devices, remotes, touch panels, and mobile app control
- Assist with system upgrades, service calls, and ongoing client support
- Document system configurations and project details accurately
- Deliver a professional, polished customer experience on every project
Qualifications
- Proven experience programming ELAN systems
- Strong knowledge of residential smart home and automation systems
- Experience with networking fundamentals including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems
- Familiarity with Control4, Sonos, Lutron, surveillance, access control, or related technologies is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and think critically under pressure
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Audio Video Technician/Installer to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, and servicing of residential and/or commercial audio, video, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio/video systems including TVs, speakers, home theaters, and distributed audio systems
- Run and terminate low-voltage wiring (speaker wire, Cat5/6, coax, etc.)
- Mount TVs, projectors, screens, and related hardware
- Install and program control systems, networking equipment, and smart home technologies
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation
- Ensure all installations meet company standards, industry best practices, and local codes
- Test systems to ensure proper functionality and performance
- Provide basic user training and support to clients upon project completion
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and clients
Qualifications
- Previous experience in audio/video installation, low-voltage, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and basic networking
- Experience with control systems and smart home technologies is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to work on ladders, lift heavy equipment, and perform physical tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Skills
- Experience with home automation systems (e.g., Control systems, lighting control, etc.)
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers, switches, Wi-Fi setup)
- Familiarity with structured wiring and rack installations
- Customer service experience in a technical environment
Work Environment
- Work performed in residential homes, commercial job sites, and new construction environments
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work
- Travel to job sites may be required
